kami na ung aasikasuhin ni Teller...

Teller: UP Circuit

haha.. sabay pa kami talagang nakapagisip na mag-Hayt!...
some things are not meant to be forgotten..

Last Day....

.... on a graveyard shift. 'Coz next month I would be on 2pm to 10pm shift again. I like that shift 'cause i get to relax (like as if i don't get enough rest during 10pm to 6am shift - LOL). But sad 'cause i won't be getting night differential pay for like a month.

As least, now i get to have a night life whenever it is necessary. haha...

20090529 MATTER'S Friday Night Out

31 May 2009
Sunday

Matter, as i call the three of us (Rose and Tipz and i), had a friday night out last 29th of May. This time we were with other people.
After my hang-out-time with Lew, I went to SM Megamall to meet Bananie and Rose. We were supposed to watch "Dead na si lolo" - i think this is an Indie film and only shown in SM Megamall.
After eating atEl Pollo Loco - which is btw my first time to eat there - we decided to just have a drink rather than watching the movie. We went to El Pueblo's SIDEBAR Cafe - which is also my first time.
Sidebar is nice and cozy. For a hang out of no dancing, this is a good place to be. And may i just say, i like the drinks (or cocktails) that Nanie ordered.
Tipz and Tintin just followed us there. Tintin had a shift til 10pm and Tipz had a very important meeting to attend to til after 9pm - DOTA game with officemates.
After Sidebar, spent time in Starbucks Podium to sober up. Thanks Tipz for the frappe.

My badminton racket was a total wreck last time I have played badminton.... all i can say is that, "You have served your master well".

For the past weeks, i have been playing badminton for at least 2 times per week. I enjoy playing this and i really think i would focus on becoming a pro. haha...

I have bought this racket way back in college - I think when i was in 4th year. Now, it is time to let it go and buy a new one (but i still don't have the money... gee, and i am already working...)

2009529 Lew's MS Thesis Defense Post Celebration

29 May 2009
Friday
I wasn't able to see the actual presentation of Lew for his MS Thesis bus I was present in the celebration in TOSH (The Old Spaghetti House). Haha.. Of course, I wouldn't miss the 'pakain'.... any 'pakain' for that matter.
Lew told me to order but i have no idea what to order in TOSH. I just ordered anything... but the best part of eating in TOSH was the BLUEBERRY cheesecake.
'Twas my first time at TOSH... and it was my first time to ride at Pau's Jazz... whoa, big timer...
After spending time at TOSH - TechnoHub, we went straight to UP EEEI.

Let's call it a day!!!

Below are the pics I have taken:

six years and now its over...

30 May 2009
Saturday

Yesterday, 29th of May, i went to UP for quite a number of reasons. First, it was Lew's MS Thesis defense. though i wasn't able to attend the defense proper, at least i was able to attend the "Post Defense" celebration at TOSH (The Old Spaghetti House - oh my, they had the best blueberry cheesecake i have ever eaten!!!!!)

Second, i was needed to close the bank account of UP Circuit at Landbank - Diliman Extension Branch... Yes! The organization finally decided to close the bank account which I was the signatory of 6 glorious years...

Academic Year (AY) 2003-2004, I became the Finance Committee Head of UP Circuit. First task was to change the signatory of the bank account from Sharie Castro (Fin Head, AY 2001-2003) and Eugene Villar (Chairperson, AY 2002-2003) to Norman Valdez (Fin Head, AY 2003-2004) and Angelo Tungpalan (Chairperson, AY 2003-2004)...

Then AY 2004-2005 came. Signatories changed to Lew Tria (Fin Head, 2004-2005) and, yours truly as Chairperson (AY 2004-2005).

After my term as the chairperson, nobody from the succeeding Executive Committee have planned to change the signatory..

not until yesterday. Where Lew and I finally closed the bank account of UP Circuit.

For Six Years, I was the signatory of UP Circuit Landbank account. And now, I am keeping the passbook as a memorabilia of my power over money (haha, i can remember after my term as the Chairperson, whenever the current FinComm Head asked for my signature in the withdrawal slip, i asked them "for what?", then i argue if they were withdrawing too much.. haha)...

plans for the future...

27 May 2009
Wednesday

Well, everybody knows that i have no plans on staying long in my current company. I have even told my team lead and my manager that I am just staying here in the company because i do have a bond. I have no idea if it was a good move telling my superiors about that but i am glad they appreciated my total honesty.

i already applied for Aussie visa - the subclass 476 visa. I just hope everything would be okay in the application process. Last time i checked, the processing of my application has already begun.

Time to update my CV. I should be having a plan C, just in case my Aussie doesn't work that well. hmmm lemme try applying for Canadian visa.. hehe..

Let's call it a day.

pera pera lang yan....

25 May 2009

Sa mundong ito, pera pera lang yan....
kaya nga tayo nag-aral eh, para makakuha ng decent job paglaki natin....
para may panggastos sa kung anu mang luho natin o gusto nating naiisin...

It is a bit disappointing from where i am now. Since my job title is PROGRAMMER/ANALYST (in other words, IT Support / glorified-call-center, i have never made a program that is deployed in Production Environment), we are expected to be on duty 24/7. Every hour, every minute someone needs to be onshift. Even if there has a calamity in the area, or it is a declared holiday, we need to be in office building. Okay fine. I'm cool with that.

For those of you who knew way back in college, im a freakin' workaholic. I tend to make my working place my second home... remember in Power Electronics Laboratory (PEL), I technically have lived there.

And aside from going to office in a holiday, i get "holiday pay".... its like going to the office on your "restday", then you'll be declaring it as "Overtime", and also, its a "holiday"... We are not talking hundred bucks only here... get it?

Aside from the basic pay i get every pay day (15th and 30th of the month), there's an additional amount that would surely made my day happy...

Whataheck, I already got my salary for the 30th of May today. But the HOLIDAY PAY for going to the office during "HOLY WEEK" still don't reflect on my payslip.. HEY, HOLY WEEK is FIRST WEEK OF APRIL... its already MAY... During that "Holy Week", it was supposed to be a 2-day work week, instead of 5, and in that 2-day work week, 1 day is a "Special Holiday Pay". See

I know, i still could get it next pay day, but i need the money now. It is a shame to borrow money from someone.

I had plans for the supposed-to-be extra money to buy something.. and that something would greatly help me in my trip to Thailand first week of June..

I don't like working... well, who does?

Let's call it a day everybody.
